I have a friend in hospital who have the same procedure on his heart and he is one of Jehovah's Witnesses (religious group can not more) of blood. The operation was performed successfully.
In addition, a few years ago my father is not with the blood, if it is almost the same procedure as well. He slipped in a transfusion and the immune system to act suddenly and he was trembling. Everything happened as he had recovered.
Doctors these days know what they are, at least I hope so. So do not worry about the family members. Not only that, without receiving a blood transfusion is safer because you know, never about the blood. It may be true, so they do not senile blood, but may not always be somewhat unnoticed.
